WELCOME TO:
YOGA BOSSA
My very first yoga class was taken back in the mid 70’s as a teenager in Brazil. Yoga has been a part of my life since. I did decide to become a professional musician instead, until I felt the call to share my knowledge, acquired through decades of research and consistent personal practice.
I was teaching in Miami within 48 hrs of returning from formal training in Dharamshala, a beautiful village on the Himalayan foothills, where the Dalai Lama resides. Since then, I was able to share my knowledge at Dharma Yoga, Inhale Miami, YouFit, and created several private events, such as Yoga in the Garden™, a mix of Yoga, live music, vegetarian food, and wellness.
Some of my favorite themes are Breath work and balancing and harmonizing our Chakra system.
I’m familiar with Shiatsu and Body Talk, and have been practicing TM (Transcendental Meditation) daily since 1992. Current projects include writing my own version of several mantras, and a book on the breath.
Come enjoy a balanced combination of sustained poses with focus on alignment and therapeutic principles. A tight, well rounded, efficient work for body and mind. All levels welcome!

ASSESS
I know how intimidating it can be to walk into a room where people are upside down or balancing on one hand when you can hardly keep it together standing on your own two feet.
Just like everything else, there are different levels of practice, but you have to start somewhere, somehow.
Yoga is for everybody. Every kind of body. There’s something in it for every stage of health, flexibility, and strength.
Listen to your body and respect its limits. Feel it out, see where you are, go from there.

BREATHE
Yoga is totally about “how you do it” and totally not about “what you are able to do”. As a musician and music teacher, I always compare music with yoga.
Whether you're a bedroom strummer or make a living playing gigs and concerts, it's important to breathe deeply and enjoy the ride!
The more difficulties you have - and we all have them - the more you have to explore and discover. Yoga isn’t about competition, but about surrender and investigation. Breathe.
If you’ve never tried a yoga class before thinking it was something totally out of your league, why not try again?
My classes have a progressive, gradual, “work-within-your-limits” approach. Take another breath.

COMMIT
I assure you’ll be feeling much better overall if you stick to a little practice, even if only for 20 minutes, a couple of times a week!
Last but not least, a word of warning: do not practice if you don’t want to feel better and refine the whole perception of your body, mind, soul, energy, and everything else around you! Yoga will change lots of things - for the better!!
“Yoga is like a long meandering path with no end. It takes you on this amazing adventure and lets you discover all sorts of deep truths about yourself and about this world”. Lacey Haynes
